Born in England in 1955, Michael has resided in Queensland since 1966.
He began painting in oils when he was fourteen. Since 1990 he has been a full time professional artist working in oils and acrylics.

Michael has been involved in many group and solo exhibitions and is the recipient of many awards and commendations for his work.
His subject matter includes landscapes, seascapes and street scenes, and he is well-known for his ability to portray the human figure.
