This work was created as part of a series begun during a residency at the UNSW Fowler's Gap Research Station in western NSW in March 2016. Initially I worked en plein air and then finished the works or made new ones over the next couple of years.
Being an arid desert area, there was a lot of wind and I tried to capture this beautiful, dry, windy atmosphere from the shelter of the "Green House" which nestles on the dry creek bed of Homestead Creek. The colours at dusk were particularly inspiring.
