This image explores the issue of transplanting people from one culture to another whether by choice, force or natural disaster. Natural elements are used, water from the wake of a cruise ship, an uprooted weed left on the path and bleached by the sun, and stones which clearly belong on land. The deceptively attractive artwork portrays the good front which refugees and immigrants may put up whilst struggling to cope in a foreign environment.
